A SEMINAR: DOING BUSINESS IN INDONESIA

The Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) is organizing a seminar on Doing Business in Indonesia on 13 August 2015. IBC is proud to be able to assist SMF in promoting and adopting this seminar as one of our program. The Guest of Honour (GOH) will be His Excellency Andri Hadi, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia who will be delivering the opening address. In addition, President of SMF, Mr Douglas Foo will also be present to give the welcome address.

This seminar will be a great opportunity for you to find out on the recent changes to the legal aspects of the business climate in Indonesia, the dos and don’ts and incentives available for foreign investments for their business expansion into Indonesia.

Pledging to revive the country’s economy, Indonesia aims to achieve a GDP growth of 7% by 2018 under Indonesia’s 7th president, Joko Widodo. Central to this plan is the improvement and development of infrastructure in the sectors of maritime, utilities and manufacturing. The successful implementation of the infrastructure initiatives outlined by the new administration will definitely spearhead the advancement of Indonesia’s economy. Increased private investments to improve the infrastructure could unleash the significant growth potential in Southeast Asia’s largest nation, propelling Indonesia’s growth story and offering business opportunities across the value chain from production to distribution to consumption. All these developments will offer business opportunities to Singapore companies looking to expand into Indonesia.
