Centre promotes an exciting Industry Guru event “Indonesian Elections: Opportunities and
Challenges for Singapore”

An overview of the event

Developed by the PMET Division of the People’s Association, the Industry Guru Series – “Indonesian Elections: Opportunities and Challenges for Singapore” networking event is happening on Wednesday 2 July 2014 at Buona Vista Community Club from 6.30pm to 10.00pm.

The Industry Guru Series is a professional networking programme developed by the PA’s PMET Division for working professionals to network, exchange ideas and contribute to their community. Past Industry Guru Series events covered topics such as entrepreneurship, property and economics; and involved industry leaders such as Mr Ho Kwon Ping, Founder and Executive Chairman of Banyan Tree Holdings and investment guru Jim Rogers.

The Speakers

“Indonesian Elections: Opportunities and Challenges for Singapore ” will cover the impacts of the Indonesian elections on Singapore, tapping on the expertise of guest speakers who are leading business and thought leaders:

• Professor Kishore Mahbubani, the Dean and Professor in the Practice of Public Policy of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore
• Professor Leonard C. Sebastian, an Associate Professor at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS)
• Bapak Agus Tjokrobintoro, Director of PT Kencana Gula Manis

The moderator is Mr Yang Razali Kassim, a Senior Fellow and Advisor (Media Outreach) at the Centre for Non-Traditional Security (NTS) Studies of the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU).  Minister Chan Chun Sing, Adviser to Tanjong Pagar GRC Grassroots Organisations, will be a Special Guest to the event
